Sure to excite serious vintage hockey/tobacco card collectors is this scarce big 5” by 8” premium offered through a mail-in promotion by Murad Cigarettes. Number 12 in the 25-card “College Series” and the only hockey-related card, the back of the thick cardboard affair includes a list of cards available and reads “Any one of the above named pictures given in exchange for 15 Coupons taken from Murad Cigarettes. Send coupons by mail or express, charges prepaid, to Murad Picture Dept. - Drawer S. – Jersey City, N.J.” The final line reads “This offer expires June 30th, 1911.” Wonderful intriguing scene from a hundred years ago is free of any creases, with light edge/corner wear to mention, along with toning around the edge of the reverse. Also included is an unused cardboard hockey punch board manufactured by W.H. Brady & Co. of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Featuring a neat circa-1940s hockey scene, it measures 6-1/2” by 9” and also has survived in great shape with just a few light non-detracting scratches and a couple of small light creases in the upper section.
