Historical Hockey Memorabilia Spring 2012

Ever-popular over the years have been the little plastic marbles found one at a time in boxes of Post Cereal during the 1968-69 season and featuring members of the Canadiens and Maple Leafs. The 15 Montreal marbles here are miraculously still in their original plastic bags, while the Leafs pieces are not, but for the most part are in tiptop shape, with possible upgrades of the Keon, Ellis and Oliver marbles required. The plastic game board had to be sent away for and came with dice and a bilingual instruction sheet, with the game combining elements of Chinese Checkers and Chess. Rink measures 15" by 24", with the one here showing signs of use in the form of light staining/soiling in some of the "holes" and on the cardboard backing, along with a four-inch edge crack by the Canadiens logo. The rare instructions sheet is present with punch holes and creases and is interesting to read - "Any player who rolls a pair of sixes or ones gets a penalty!" Also present is the board's original mailing box, making for one cool ensemble.
