From accomplished coach and GM Glen Sather's journeyman playing career come these interesting documents, led by Glen's 1969-70 contract. It called for a salary of $19,000 and included numerous bonus clauses, both individual and team-related. A quick check reveals Sather did not collect any individual bonus money after his 12-goal, 26-point season. Penguins' president Jack Riley and Sather signed the back of the long two-sided contract, while NHL boss Clarence Campbell's signature is on the front. A Standard Assignment Agreement, transferring Sather from Boston to Pittsburgh in the Intra-League Draft (for $30,000) is signed by Riley and Hall-of-Famers Milt Schmidt and Tom Johnson, while a couple of telexes are initialed by Campbell.
