Ray Bourque's impressive 91-point performance in 1993-94 solidified his nod to the Eastern roster at the 1994 NHL All-Star Game, held in New York City at Madison Square Garden. Raymond Bourque, representing the Boston Bruins of the Eastern Conference, wore number "77" for the game and it appears on each sleeve and again on the back of this plum CCM uniform. Each shoulder sports the commemorative All Star patch and the Center Ice, CCM and size (54) tags are sewn into the neck. Ray's alternate captain's "A" decorates the left breast. A security hologram, from the Upper Deck company, appears pressed inside the lower rear hem, a feature common to all of the game-worn uniforms from the 1994 game. Light wear, as is to be expected on these one-period gamers from the annual All Star Classic, includes a good board burn at the left elbow, a few dark marks on the left sleeve and an area of rust-colored staining (appears to be blood) on the same cuff and under the opposite arm. This example was obtained by our consignor directly from a member of the Bourque family and will come with a detailed letter outlining the provenance.
