Historical Hockey Memorabilia Spring 2012

One of the most dazzling players in NHL history, Denis Savard extended his own Black Hawks record with 121 points in 1982-83. Savard's huge white tape knob remains on the top of the shaft of his Canadien 6001 game-used stick from that season, as per the "9 Sep. 1982" factory date stamp on the back of the shaft. "D. Savard" is stamped on the front of the shaft and the slick center's black tape job remains on the blade, worn through most of the smooth bottom edge. Game use shows in red paint transfer on the knob and shaft, which also has black marks. A crack on the back edge of the shaft does not diminish this HOF gamer's display.
