Historical Hockey Memorabilia Spring 2012

Vintage durene Chicago Black Hawks jersey attributed to Dick Redmond who played for the team from 1972-73 to 1976-77 and Tim Higgins who began his time with the Hawks in 1978. The shirt, photo-matched to an image of Higgins, sports two repairs (one on each arm) that can be clearly seen in the photograph. A fraying Gunzo's tag appears in the collar with a size 46 Wilson label above. The white felt "74 PO" set tag is affixed to the inner front hem, evidence that the shirt was recycled for use by Higgins later on. We also note the outline where a television nameplate was once attached above the back numbers and also the removal of the Bicentennial patch. Great game wear overall with at least eight team repairs and a similar number of unrepaired holes, chiefly at the right elbow. Will come with a letter of authenticity from Classic Auctions and a digital copy of the photo-match image.
