Historical Hockey Memorabilia Spring 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/12/2012
A blast into the Toronto Maple Leafs' past with this group which dates back to May of 1934 and an expense sheet signed by Frank Selke and initialed by Conn Smythe. Selke claimed $13.60 for entertaining sporting delegates from Buffalo at the opening of the Woodbine race track. "Radio OK" precedes Foster Hewitt's bold black signature on Maple Leaf Gardens letterhead, dated 1941 and with "Hockey tickets for Beehive and Alka Seltzer radio accounts" the line above "$44.00." Smythe signed an expense sheet from 1946, while Hap Day's signature is on a "Requisition for Cheque Payment" dated April 24, 1947 and asking that a cheque for $500 be issued to Bill Ezinicki for his '46-47 season bonus. Four stellar autographs of four legendary hockey men!
