Amazing opportunity is this rare 1961-62 Toronto Maple Leafs Stanley Cup championship trophy. Originally obtained from the collection of former Leafs trainer Carl Elieff, this 12 1/2" tall beauty is one of the trophies presented to members of the Toronto squad that began a run of three straight Cups from 1962-64. The Leafs beat the Rangers 4-2 in the semi-final before taking care of the reigning Cup champion Black Hawks in six games in the final to claim their first title since 1951, when Bill Barilko delivered the Cup-winning goal in overtime. Frank Mahovlich, George Armstrong and Tim Horton led the way in the final with seven points each and fellow HOFer Johnny Bower teamed with Don Simmons to win two games apiece against the Hawks. The silver-plated trophy displays their engraved names on the bowl along with the rest of the team, including HOFers Kelly, Keon, Pulford, Arbour, as well as the Leafs' brass of Smythe, Ballard, Bassett, Imlach and Clancy. The cherished trophy has been nicely preserved with cleanable tarnish. Maple Leafs personal Stanley Cups are extremely scarce and very seldom offered.
