Darren McCarty fans are going to lose it when they see this incredible lot! Featured here is a photo-matched McCarty 1999-2000 Red Wings game-worn jersey, which is offered along with a pair of McCarty's signed early 2000s game-used skates, which were worn in the same season. McCarty's No. 25 Red Wings gamer has CCM and size 56 flag tags in the neck. The two black marks on the right shoulder are clear to see in a November 12, 1999 Getty Images photo of McCarty wearing this jersey. Those same two marks are also visible in a photo from the week prior, which also shows the big black mark under the NHL 2000 patch on the right breast. McCarty has signed both of his Graf Supra 703 game-used skates. The McCarty game-worn jersey is from the Red Wings’ first set of the 1999-2000 season, as per the team patch screened inside the rear hem. The fight strap is whole and complete and there should be no surprise that the front and back seams of the collar are repaired/reinforced. There are four solid team repairs on the back of the right sleeve near the cuff, and another pair on the back of the left sleeve. A black mark sits on the top of the red twill “5” on the back and the sleeves and front of the jersey are covered with more black marks.
McCarty placed black marker autographs on the inside edge of the heel of the white Tuuk blade supports of both of his Graf Supra 703 Top Light game-used skates. A Hockeytown Authentics price tag sticker remains affixed to the outside edge of the front blade support of the left skate. The white felt tongues of both boots have red residue from hockey socks/tape.
