Historical Hockey Memorabilia Spring 2012

Long-time Detroit captain Steve Yzerman wore these Easton Air skates during the latter stages of his Hall of Fame career in Motown. Yzerman became the Red Wings' captain in 1986-87 at the age of 21, a position he held until he retired in the summer of 2006. Stevie Y hoisted the Stanley Cup three times as the Red Wings won consecutive championships in 1997 and 1998, and another title in 2002. A Hockeytown Authentics hologram sticker was placed on the base of the left skate's boot and price tags remain on the original Tuuk blade supports, which exhibit black marks from game wear. The tongues of both of the captain's skates display red fuzz from the Red Wings' familiar team colors. These outstanding collectors' items would make a marvelous addition to any Yzerman/Red Wings/Hall-of-Famer collection.
