Morenz, Joliat and Hainsworth are featured in this spectacular framed panoramic team photo of the 1929-30 Stanley Cup champion Montreal Canadiens. Taken at the outset of the season, which the Habs capped with the first of consecutive Cup wins, this magnificently detailed shot is centered on captain Sylvio Mantha and Hainsworth, who was coming off an astounding 22-shutout campaign. The Canadiens, including coach Hart and owner Dandurand, are perched on wood platforms arranged on the bare sidewalk, likely outside the old Montreal Forum. The presence of hulking Gord Fraser (10 games early in 1929-30) between the Mantha brothers clearly dates the period of this remarkable and not-often-seen panoramic Canadiens team photo. Signed, "To Red from Pete" in the bottom right corner, it is displayed in an 8 1/2" x 28 1/2" wood frame. Very nicely preserved with some fading on the edges, mostly on the left side, it remains a historic and rare Canadiens Stanley Cup team photo.
