The first NHL player to score 50 goals in 50 games, Maurice Richard was also the charter member of the league's 500-goal club. The legendary Rocket's eight Stanley Cups were the most of any player to that time when he retired in September 1960 after leading the Montreal Canadiens to a record fifth consecutive title, the last four as the Habs' captain. This fascinating pair of all leather skates was worn by Richard in old-timers competition during the 1960s. The Rocket's Bauer skates show nice game use with lots of scuffing and cuts in the toe area. Size "9W" and "Bauer Probilt Made in Canada Waterproof" are stamped on the bottom of the leather undersole of both boots. "Probilt Hand Made" is engraved on both sides of the front blade support of both skates. No matter how many others try to use the nickname, there was only one Rocket.
