Historical Hockey Memorabilia Spring 2012

Maurice Richard used this CCM Pattern Made Professional hockey stick on December 20, 1958 against the visiting Chicago Black Hawks at the Montreal Forum. The "Rocket" scored his 521st and 522nd goals against none other than Glenn Hall in a 4-1 Montreal Canadiens victory. The front of the shaft is stamped "M. Richard 9" while the two sides are stamped by the CCM company. The Rocket's traditional black tape job is intact on both the blade (two strips missing) and the knob and the well-used stick has sustained slight damage at the tip of the blade where a one-inch by half-inch section of wood is missing. Factory graphics are light as the stick appears to have slight water damage. Autographed by Richard in vintage ink on one side of the shaft and personalized to a friend, the signature has weathered over the years but still remains legible, same can be said for the "521-522" notation on the other side of the shaft. A formidable memento from a 544-goal-scorer and member of Hockey's Hall of Fame.
