Incredible Marty Burke 1930-31 Montreal Canadiens framed original Rice Studios photo comes directly from the family of the late NHL defenseman. A key member of the Habs' first back-to-back Stanley Cup champions, Burke has the "World Champions '29-'30" patch worn by the reigning Cup champion Habs in 1930-31 on the left sleeve of his "CH" sweater in this 14x11 portrait which shows him posed on-ice in his Canadiens uniform. Handwritten dedication, "To Marty, with all good luck, Jimmy Rice" is signed in the bottom left corner. The famous photographer's "Rice Montreal" studio notation is also handwritten just above Burke's stick blade in the lower right of this magnificent print, a player portrait that is not often seen in this size. Beautifully preserved in its original frame with its Rice Studio label still affixed to the thin paper backing. Comes with a signed LOA from the family of the late Marty Burke.
