Intriguing and seldom-seen 1929-30 Stanley Cup champion Montreal Canadiens framed photo montage comes from the family of the late Marty Burke. The long-time NHL defenseman and his Canadiens teammates captured the first of back-to-back Cups in the spring of 1930, going a perfect 6-0 in the playoffs. All of the text on this amazing studio montage photo is in French with dates and results of all of the Habs' playoff games through three rounds against the Black Hawks, Rangers and the regular season and reigning Cup champion Boston Bruins. Habs greats Howie Morenz and Aurele Joliat are pictured at the sides of a splendid image of Lord Stanley's trophy, while other members of this great Habs squad featured in individual poses taken outside the Forum include Hainsworth, Lepine, Leduc and the Mantha brothers. Burke is pictured in the top row, to the right of legendary coach Cecil Hart. You could not hope for a better-preserved example of this 82-year-old 13 1/2" x 19 3/4" print, which is mounted on a grey matte background and displayed in an 18 1/4" x 24" wood frame. Sure to impress, it comes with a signed LOA signed from the family of the late Marty Burke.
