An absolutely perfect example of Hall of Fame goaltender Grant Fuhr’s 1982-83 O-Pee-Chee rookie card is the prize here and pictures the five-time Stanley Cup champ after his first NHL season. One of just ten netminders to register over 400 regular season NHL wins, Grant jumped directly to the big leagues in ’81-82 after the Oilers took him eighth overall in the ’81 Entry Draft and posted a 28-5-16 mark as a rookie. A small percentage, 21 out of over 700 total Fuhr RC submissions, have received top marks from PSA, with this example accompanied by a GEM MT 10 rookie card of Rick Meagher (#144 – one of seven 10s on the PSA pop report). The trio is completed by a MINT 9 RC of Hall-of-Famer Joe Mullen, the highest-scoring American-born NHLer when he called it quits in 1997 with 502 goals and 1063 points in 1062 games. All-in-all, great numbers to consider with this ’82-83 OPC RC lot.
