One of the most important and cherished rookie cards of the 1970s is offered here in exceptional and coveted PSA MINT 9 condition. Ken Dryden shocked the hockey world, in particular the Bruins and Black Hawks(!), when he arrived with the Canadiens at the end of the '70-71 season and proceeded to backstop them past record-setting Boston in the playoffs before completing an amazing run with a Stanley Cup win against Chicago. Earning the Conn Smythe Trophy before NHL rookie-of-the-year honors was unheard of and so too was a goalie pictured with his mask on a hockey card - kids were shocked! Superior example of card #45 is one of 19, (out of 419 total submissions), at MINT 9 on the PSA Population Report, edged by a single "10".
