A star with both Boston and Detroit, Marty Barry was in the midst of his fourth of five straight 20-goal seasons with the Bruins when his “Ice Kings” rookie card was released. After the following season he was sacrificed so the Bruins could land Cooney Weiland, with the major trade working out for both teams; Barry helping the Red Wings to back-to-back Stanley Cups his first two years wearing the winged wheel while forming a potent line with Larry Aurie and Herbie Lewis. Card #27 here has an all-English write-up on the reverse and comes in at EX 5, one of nine 5s on the PSA Population Report, with 10 of 36 total submissions higher.
