You'll have a toothy grin too, like Hall-of-Famer Frank Boucher on this 1937-38 World Wide Gum card, when this number-one-on-the-PSA-Population-Report example of Boucher's first cardboard appearance arrives in the mail! Exhibiting nice white borders and back, card #16 in the big 135-card set outdistances twelve others on the PSA chart, its EX-MT 6 grade notably edging out seven at EX 5. The fact that one of the league's top stars never appeared in any of the O-Pee-Chee sets, or other sets which were issued earlier in the 1930s has us somewhat bewildered. We wonder whether that hobby question has ever been asked or answered and welcome any insight. The bilingual card back describes the great Ranger pivot as "one of the cleanest and best centre players in hockey" and informs "Recently named coach and will assist Lester Patrick." A splendid, intriguing acquisition this Boucher will be!
