Historical Hockey Memorabilia Spring 2012

A thought-provoking image of a young Aurele Joliat is offered on the Ottawa native's first cardboard appearance, his rookie card from William Paterson being issued the year after his first NHL season and during one in which he and a 21-year old rookie named Howie Morenz led the Montreal Canadiens to the franchise's second Stanley Cup title! Erroneously listed as "Auriel" on the blank-backed, sepia-tone card, Joliat contributed three goals in four Stanley Cup games against Vancouver and Calgary and would go on to total 270 career goals. Attractive PSA VG-EX 4 example to add to a V-145/RC stash.
