The rookie card of Gordon Roberts pictures the high-scoring left winger less than a year after he helped his hometown Ottawa Senators defend the Stanley Cup in January of 1910, scoring four goals in a Cup game against Edmonton. He then spent six seasons with the Montreal Wanderers, always finishing among NHA scoring leaders while becoming “Dr.” Roberts with a medical degree from McGill in 1916. Card #3 here has earned a grade of VG-EX+ 4.5 from PSA, with the company’s population report revealing three others at 4.5 and 18 higher, including eight at EX 5.
