The Panthers became Kirk McLean's third team in less than three months late in the 1997-98 season. After beginning his 11th season with Vancouver, McLean was dealt to Carolina on January 3, only to be shipped on to Florida on March 24. The Panthers' fifth season patch sits on the right breast of this distinctive No. 1 game-worn jersey. McLean's nameplate is sewn on in three pieces and there is evidence of a nameplate removal, meaning it was likely also used by Kevin Weekes before McLean, who appeared in seven games. Starter and size 60-G labels are sewn in the neck. Game wear is likely attributed to both McLean and Weekes, including a black mark on the left sleeve and a pulled yellow thread on the right elbow. The collar exhibits pilling as does the right front tail, the latter likely from contact with the blocker. Comes with Kirk McLean's signed LOA.
