Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
Here’s a great opportunity to pick up a vintage Dodger Stadium seat for those who missed their chance the first time around. Offered here is a single blue aisle seat from baseball’s diamond in Chavez Ravine, the site of countless high points in major league history, including Kirk Gibson’s dramatic pinch-hit home run that sent the L.A. Dodgers on to a stunning upset win over the Oakland A’s in the 1988 World Series. Row “AA” is stenciled on the outside panel attached to the right metal armrest of this blue plastic seat with number “1” set in the back rest. A fantastic display piece for a Dodgers/baseball stadium shrine, with nice wear from all the highly-attended events its ticket owners’ bore witness to over the years. Included are a pair of nuts and bolts where it was detached from its adjacent seat and four 10x8 prints of Dodgers website pictures of seats such as this one removed from Dodger Stadium, disassembled and displayed for the team’s auction.
