Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
The 1995 NHL playoffs were capped by New Jersey’s first Stanley Cup win while the Detroit Red Wings, who were swept in four straight by the Devils, returned to the finals for the first time in 29 years. This lot of “1995 Stanley Cup Championship” pucks consists of 44 in their original In Glas Co “NHL Official Game Puck” plastic packaging. These 1995 Stanley Cup playoff pucks feature a screened face with the same logo as the patch worn by the Devils and Red Wings on their uniforms during the final. The reverse is a screened orange circle with the NHL shield in the middle and commissioner Gary Bettman’s facsimile signature with “Official Game Puck” arched along the top of the circle and “In Glas Co” along the bottom. “In Glas Co” is spelled out between a pair of NHL shields on the edge of the puck along with “Made in Canada” and “Official”, all in raised letters.
