Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
This collection of three original Art Ross official National Hockey League game pucks made by the Tyer Rubber Company spans three decades, from the early 1940's to the mid 1960's. The trio of rare gamers includes an official NHL puck used between 1942-50 that features a small rubberized orange hexagon on its face. This one is in very good to excellent condition with a nice logo and a few chips from use. Another double-sided orange octagon Art Ross puck from the 1950's is here and sports a couple of chips at the edges with nice logos that could use a good cleaning. The patent number Art Ross NHL puck from the Converse Rubber Company rounds out this lot and is probably a practice example used during the mid-Sixties.
