Bronze medal awarded to Team Canada at the 1978 IIHF world championship in Prague marked the Canadians’ return to the international podium for the first time in a decade. HOF captain Marcel Dionne helped lead his country to a 3-2 win over Sweden in Canada’s final game in Prague to clinch the first Canadian international medal since the Olympic bronze medal win in Grenoble in 1968. This world championships bronze medal has the “1978” clasp at the top though its ribbon is no longer present. Also included here is a Raymond Wiel wristwatch with the 1980s Hockey Canada logo on the face.
