Three vintage pieces of lumber and six well-worn baseball gloves are featured in this lot of 11 items of diamond gear which also includes a pair of Cooper catcher's masks and 8 lacrosse sticks. Thick and heavy Derby Made wood bat has Derby Ball Edwards Corp. of Waterbury, Vermont stamp on the barrel. Two "Canada's Favorite" St. Mary's bats from Hespeler, Ontario include a well-used softball model as well as a No. 12 youth model with a small chip on the handle. A nicely worn brown leather Reach fielder's model is included with five first baseman's trappers featuring a pair of Cooper-Weekes beauties: a lefty's mitt in red leather and a righty's in black, both wonderfully worn. A Winwell, a Wilson and an unidentified battered old trapper round out the lot along with the two Cooper masks. Lot features eight lacrosse sticks which will surely appeal to a variety of vintage sports equipment collectors. Featured here are two older lacrosse sticks, one that measures 45" in length and the other 43", with a copper wire repair to note in its aged leather runners and twine strings in the net at the head of the stick. Another 45 1/2" long beauty has "Deluxe Special Hand Made" etched on the inner edge of the head of the stick, while a 53" long stick with a curved shaft has its original "Mohawk Lacrosse Stick Manufacturing Company Limited" label on the outside edge of the head. A 44" inch stick and a mini 24" stick with "Indian Hand Made, M. Etienne & Son, Oka, P.Q., Canada" stamped on the outside edge of the head complete this unique lacrosse stick collection.
