Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
Impressive silver-plated handled cup features engraving that leads off with "Sports D'Hiver" (winter sports) and "Gouret", the French word used by some back in the day for hockey. Donated by "Codere", the 18" high award was for the amateur championship of Sherbrooke, Quebec and won by the "Kayser" team in 1933. Footed affair anchored to a black-painted metal base includes nice thorn/thistle work around the top section, has survived in excellent condition and awaits a vintage trophy display.
