Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
Sabres fan favorites Rob Ray and Brad May are among the nine members of the team who signed Donald Audette's Titan game-used stick included in this lot of six. All of the items are from Donald Audette's personal collection, including two game-worn pairs of the Bauer 2000 skates he used throughout his NHL career, a pair of his game-worn gloves with his number "28" on the cuffs, Audette's Sabres training suit and a vintage Sabres #13 equipment bag. Please see our website description for more information about this lot which comes with Donald Audette's signed LOA. Audette is among the nine members of the 1996-97 Sabres, along with Burridge, Plante, Holzinger, Ray, Galley, Shannon, Dawe and May, who signed his Titan game-used stick with “D. Audette” stamped on the shaft which retains his tape jobs on the knob and blade;
Audette’s bright blue Sabres training suit with yellow and white accents has the team’s charging buffalo/crossed sabres crest on the left breast and upper left pant leg and an NHL shield on the left sleeve. Both the top and pants have DeLong size L tagging in the neck with “Audette” and his number “28” written on the tag in the zip-neck pullover jacket and his surname written on the tag in the pants;
Big blue Sabres equipment bag with the team’s original logo on both sides has number “13” in heat-pressed yellow vinyl on one side of the top, which indicates that it was almost certainly issued to Russian forward Yuri Khmylev, the only Buffalo player to wear the number during Audette’s first stint with the Sabres;
Two pairs of Audette’s game-worn Bauer 2000 skates show plenty of game use, including one pair with leather reinforcement panels stitched on to either side of the ankle cuffs on each boot;
Audette’s dark blue Jofa gloves with Sabres yellow accents and Donald’s number “28” written in yellow on the cuffs show nice game wear with hole-free palms.
