Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
Jean Beliveau’s vintage blue ink signature sits on the back of the shaft of his 1950s game-issued stick. This CCM Custom Pro has “Beliveau 4” stamped on the front of the shaft with “McNiece’s Montreal, Can.” stamped further down. The blade has a smooth, crack-free bottom edge with a little bit of wood separation from aging on the bottom of the toe, a common occurrence for sticks of this era. This vintage Beliveau gamer was retaped recently with a black tape job on the blade and white tape covering the black tape knob. Also included is a pre-World War II one-piece Hespeler wood hockey stick. This solid crack-free stick displays a part of the bright blue Hespeler logo low on the shaft along with “Grain Sealed, Moisture Proofed” below the remains of a band of green tape.
