Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
Toronto Maple Leafs style, crested with the team logo of the Newmarket Saints of the American Hockey League, worn by netminder Jeff Reese. Reese played in Newmarket with the Saints from 1986-87 to 1990-91. He only played 7 games in 1989-90 for the AHL franchise and a scant 3 games in 1990-91. The born-on-date tag of "85 07"(July 1985) appears in the collar and this jersey has had a nameplate change. So, this one appears to be a 1985-86 jersey recycled for Reese to use in 1986-87 or later. Maska Ultrafil tag in the neck with a CCM logo on the tail and a cut-out fight strap inside. Game wear is evident with stick marks and scuffs on the sleeves and traces of red post paint on the upper left arm. A great defunct style! Comes with a letter of authenticity.
