Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
Great pair of AHL Providence Bruins gamers were worn by Andrew McKim and Darren Banks, respectively, both of whom enjoyed brief NHL stints in the mid-1990s. McKim’s #11 jersey with the “P” hub logo crest on the front has only remnants of the two flag tags in the neck. It measures out to a size 52 and displays really, really solid wear, particularly on the sleeves and both the front and rear tail. They display black marks, board burns, unrepaired burn and cut holes, and paint transfer. The same substantial game wear, maybe even more so, is also in evidence in the same areas on Banks’ #56 gamer, which has a size 54 flag tag in the neck. The stitching has come loose on the middle of the top edge of the nameplate, which otherwise remains sewn in place. The McKim jersey has a whole and intact fight strap while the one on Banks’ gamer was modified by the equipment staff, which cut holes in the strap and inserted a skate lace for a firmer attachment.
