Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
On October 30, 1975 at Boston Garden, Johnny Bucyk poked one past a sprawling Yves Belanger of the St. Louis Blues and the Bruins took the two points as the game ended with a score of 3-2 for Boston. This was the 500th NHL regular season goal of Johnny Bucyk's career scored in his 1,370th game. Bucyk's Northland Registered Pattern Number "6345" stick was during the mid-1970s around the time of the historic goal. Taped in white at the knob with heavy bulldog wrap towards the tip of the blade. Stamped "Bucyk", the twig has been signed on one side by Milt Schmidt and has the "Boston Bruins Pro Hockey Shop" supplier stamping. Nice use with a few small chips but no cracking.
