Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
This billowing black air-knit uniform worn by Boston superstar Patrice Bergeron while with the Bruins in 2005-06. The shirt, worn during his second year in the NHL, saw action in a season in which Bergeron scored 32 goals, his best performance to date. Tagged in the collar in size 56 on a flag tag with the RBL emblem affixed high up o the back, the jersey displays a few marks, burns and two repairs on the arms. The lower front has been fixed with a jumbled mass of repair work that runs from the bottom yellow accent strip, up through the white and continues into the black material of the body. Bergeron signed his gamer on the back number, adding a "Game Worn" notation and his player number. The interior reveals the labels from the MeiGray/NHL Game Worn Jersey Program and the larger of the two is stamped with their inventory number. In addition, a hologram sticker from Heritage Hockey Authentics, placed up near the back numbers attests to the authenticity of the signature.
