Glenn Goldup played in 291 NHL games with the Kings and Montreal Canadiens. His father, Hank, also played in the league. This jersey, worn by Glenn Goldup during 1978-79, is a Goodman's mesh in yellow with white and plum trimming. Individually-applied tackle twill letters in purple on white spell out "Goldup" above the two-tone number "21". A heavy-duty canvas and snap fight strap is sewn inside and the uniform is tagged in the hem by Goodman & Sons in size 46 with the Bill Vanderburg label to one side. Game wear is easy to spot with a few stick marks up on the right shoulder with more marks and board burns at each elbow. We count at least five stitched team repairs, a tribute to the trainer's skill at a sewing machine. A golden gamer from a bygone era in Los Angeles.
