With the second overall pick in the 1984 NHL draft, immediately after Mario Lemieux, the New Jersey Devils selected Kirk Muller. After posting 54 points for the woeful Devils as an 18-year-old rookie, Muller continued his progression with 66 points in 1985-86, including 25 goals and 41 assists. Muller placed a blue marker signature on his number "9" on the back of this red mesh Devils gamer, which he wore during his sophomore season, according to the LOA that accompanies this jersey. Gerry Cosby logo is screened on the left side of the rear tail with a CCM patch sewn on the right side. Three flag tags in the neck include Gerry Cosby, CCM, and an "84 07" born date for this gamer recycled for the 1985-86 season. Nice wear includes a team repair above the right sleeve cuff, board burns, black marks on the bottom of the white twill of the number on the back, and on the front tail and team logo crest. Double cloth fight strap remains complete.
