Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011

Hall of Fame pitcher Gaylord Perry signed the front of his San Francisco Giants old-timers’ jersey. Featuring Perry’s number 36 on the back, which was retired by the Giants in 2005, this white home jersey with a Rawlings size 50 flag tag in the neck boasts a huge blue marker autograph from the first pitcher to win the Cy Young Award in both leagues. This jersey style was worn by the Giants for their games at Candlestick Park from the mid-1980s through Barry Bonds’ first season in San Francisco in 1993. Light stains are to note at the bottom of the sewn-on team name splashed across the button closure front in double twill, though they do little to detract from the jersey and the big, bold Perry autograph’s display.
