Baseball's Ironman, Cal Ripken Jr., signed each of the four items featured in this lot commemorating his record-breaking consecutive games streak. Included are a pair of autographed baseballs, one with the notation "2131" representing the game that moved him past the legendary Lou Gehrig, as well as a framed litho and a signed 10x8 photo. Please see our website description for more information. Ripken signed in black marker towards the top of a magnificent limited-edition artist’s montage of himself and Gehrig. The print is numbered “652/2131” in the bottom left and signed in the right hand side of the white matte by artist James Fiorentino. Displayed in a 22” x 27” silver-colored frame, this gorgeous print has a COA attached to the reverse;
Ripken added the notation “2131” to his blue ballpoint signature on the sweet spot of a Rawlings AL Bobby Brown baseball displayed in a plastic ball holder mounted on a plaque. The 11 1/2" x 9” black marble-look wood plaque has an oversized souvenir-type 2131 most consecutive games played ticket with the notation “905/1000” as well as a “2131 Cal Ripken Jr.” plaque and another describing details of Ripken breaking Lou Gehrig’s record;
Ripken signed in blue ballpoint on the sweet spot of a Rawlings AL Gene Budig ball with a “Ripken 8 2130 2131” logo;
Ripken signed in black marker on a 10x8 action shot.
