Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
Safety Ken Walcott’s Toronto Argonauts game-worn jersey displays the “JC” star patch on the left shoulder worn by the Boatmen during the 1994 CFL season. The patch commemorates the passing of actor John Candy, the former Argos owner who died that March. Starter tagging on the left front tail has a size 46 flag tag on the right edge. A “93” season patch is sewn to the left on this gamer with a size L Starter flag tag in the neck that was recycled for the 1994 season. Solid yellow and black marks on the right front include an obvious one in the top of the “2” in the heat-screened vinyl no. 24 on the front. More nice game wear shows in marks on the right shoulder with a few more on the left shoulder, too. A few tears in the upper back are from a nameplate change and the “Walcott” nameplate has a few blotches of navy blue vinyl applied around the first three white vinyl letters.
