Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
Sensational all-British Columbia Lions lot here dates back to the 2006 CFL season and a uniform donned by Barron Miles, an all-star that year who led the league with 10 interceptions. Miles helped the Lions to the Grey Cup title in 2006 and retired with 66 career interceptions, tied for second all-time. His number 9 jersey shows good game use, with a couple of small holes in the white mesh on front and another up by the “9” of the left shoulder. Spots of dirt/soiling throughout and a “06-42” tag on the interior are also to note. Rob Murphy’s gamer is from 2008 and also exhibits game use, with a big one-inch by two-inch material-backed team repair above the “5” on the front, along with a scrape near and through the “Y” of Murphy on the nameplate. Scrapes/marks in the numbers on the front, along with a “08-48” date-size tag are also to mention. Meanwhile, the orange “Parker” jersey is not game-worn but is a one-of-one, having been presented to James “Quick” Parker in a pre-game ceremony when he was honored as a member of the Lions’ All-Time Dream Team! Retro-style jersey with screened numbers and lettering is a XL Reebok job and is autographed on the lower front, with Parker adding his Hall of Fame (“HOF 2001”) induction year. Good luck with this terrific trio.
