Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
Three cuties here include an ever-popular bobbing head doll from the 1960s with chipping around the base of the head and a crack rising up to each paw and through one. Nodder nods nicely though, with an un-decipherable year added to the top of the base in now faded black marker. A cool doll with rubber head, hands, helmet and ball measures approximately 16”, includes a pinback Lions button and has survived in nice displayable condition with a little hole in the crotch area and another at the back of the upper left leg to mention. A hard plastic cheerleader doll may be the scarcest of the trio, having been available for only a short time before being pulled from souvenir stands, reportedly for being a little too racy! Her eyelids, with long eyelashes, still flicker, with some of her hair having become detached from her scalp. GO LIONS!
