Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
This remarkable relic is from the second-ever Canadian football all-star game, which actually came before the official founding of the CFL (1958). It was the East against the West in a game played December 6th at Empire Stadium in Vancouver, two weeks after Edmonton had won its third straight Grey Cup. Black felt pennant measures 26" in length and is 8" at its widest point, with the tassels having been tied around the corner areas. Featuring a Shriner's fez hat and the names of the western teams, the memorabilia has survived in displayable condition. Looks even better knowing the West walloped the East 35-0!
