The Calgary Stampeders, a team which began the 2001 CFL year with four straight losses, had just three wins on Labour Day. But Calgary rallied, saving their season with an 8-10 record, good for a third place finish in the West Division. The Stampeders secured their berth in the Grey Cup with playoff victories over B.C. and Edmonton. Calgary's opponent was a strong Winnipeg Blue Bombers club which had the CFL's best regular season record of 14-4. But it was clear regular season play didn't matter as the Stampeders built a 17-4 lead at halftime and would go on to victory with a final score of 27-19 in front of 65,255 fans at Olympic Stadium in Montreal. This solid gold bauble is attributed to Stampeders' Defensive Back Anthony Prior who contributed to the Grey Cup victory in 2001. A raised red stone at the center of this player's ring is decorated with a golden horse and ringed with real diamonds. Dozens of similar gemstones cover the table, sandwiched between the words "Grey Cup" and "Champions". Five small rubies sparkle in the sky over an image of the Olympic Stadium on one shank while the game's score and "A. Prior 37" can be found on the opposite side. The inner band is marked 10K and IGO, for Intergold, the maker. Weighing in at just under 49 grams, the ring is a finger size 10.5 and is in near mint condition. We have confirmed that this example was ordered as an extra by Prior and is identical in every way to the ring he was presented by the team.
