The 86th Grey Cup to decide the Canadian Football League championship was held in 1998 in Winnipeg. The Calgary Stampeders won the game over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats with a score of 26-24. The game was tight through three quarters, a set up to a dramatic fourth quarter. A costly turnover by McManus gave the Stampeders the lead when he was intercepted by Aldi Henry, helping set up a 22-yard field goal. Another from 32 yards out, put Calgary in front 23-18. In the final minutes, trailing 24-23, the Stampeders put together a winning drive. With no time remaining in regulation, McLoughlin kicked a 35-yard field goal to clinch the game and the Grey Cup. This amazing Grey Cup ring is attributed to the Stampeders player who caught that interception, early in the fourth. Aldi Henry's surname, position and player number is sculpted into one shank of the award, above and below an intricate image of the skyline of Calgary. The opposite shank is a design of the 86th Grey Cup logo. The top holds the raised image of a galloping horse, encrusted with real diamonds, floating in a sea of larger precious stones with the words "Grey Cup Champions" and year "1998". In inner band is stamped with the 10K mark and "Intergold", the company of craftsmen who produced this fantastic solid gold memento. In excellent-plus condition. We have confirmed that this example was ordered as an extra by Henry and is identical in every way to the ring he was presented by the team.
