Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
This blue cotton Czechoslovakia sweater was worn by Vaclav Nedomansky during the late-1960s/early 1970s. Preserved in amazing condition, it features Czechoslovakia's lion crest sewn on the front and a tie-neck front collar with six eyelets that exhibit no discernible stretching. Vaclav's prized number "14" in white-and-red woven fabric letters in drop-shadow style on a white felt outline is sewn on the back and on both sleeves. The "CSSR" in the same material is sewn above the number on the back. Game use shows in a black stick mark on the back of one of the white bands sewn on the left sleeve. Stitching has let go at the bottom of the "C" sewn on the back. There are a few small holes in the back of the tri-color knit collar and a few tiny pinholes where the jersey was mounted for display otherwise in fantastic condition. Comes with Vaclav Nedomansky's signed LOA.
