Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
Resplendent red athletic shirt worn by 1972 Series star Valeri Kharlamov circa the early 1970s. The long-sleeve knit, with stylish v-neck, was gifted by Kharlamov to Team Canada coach John Ferguson during the time of the exciting Summit Series, which Ferguson socked away until it was obtained from by our consignor. This team-issued top shows the thick, creamy felt "CCCP" letters across the chest and is bare of any interior tagging. This style would have been worn by Soviet senior hockey team members at off-ice events and activities.
