Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
Important early hockey stick collection brings together a pair of wooden wonders that are attributed to members of the Ottawa Senators. The two sticks were acquired decades ago along with vintage Ottawa Hockey Team photos and other Ottawa Hockey Team pieces and are believed to be game-used sticks from Ottawa players of that era. One example is marked on the specially-carved blade "Truro Lifter" and dated "1904" on both sides. It is toned and aged and sports four small mount holes along its length. The remaining stick is a dark wood Mic Mac model, according to the blade graphics. At about 47 inches in length, it is slightly shorter than the other gamer in the lot and had been well-preserved.
