Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011

On March 18, 1994, Andy Moog became the 10th goaltender in NHL history to register 300 career victories, turning aside 45 shots as the Dallas Stars beat the Washington Capitals 6-2. Only Hall of Famer Jacques Plante reached the 300-victory mark faster than Moog, 34, who was playing his 543rd game. Moog has the best winning percentage of all goalies with 300 or more victories (300-144-63). These are Moog's pads worn for that milestone moment! The well-worn pads show unique wear patterns that show up in action photos, including three fold lines on the rolls of the left pad and three black marks on the other tan leather Vaughn Legacy legging. Both pads are embroidered with "Andy Moog 35" from the factory and Moog added an autograph to one with the notation "300th Win March 94" on the other. Spectacular!
