Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011

“Friends for Life” is an appropriate theme for this fantastic dressing room photo signed by Jean Beliveau and Dickie Moore. The two Montreal Canadiens greats are pictured shaking hands with Habs icon Maurice “Rocket” Richard in this magnificent scene of a line composed of Hall-of-Famers. This tastefully framed signed photo was taken in the midst of the Habs’ record run of five straight Stanley Cups in the late 1950s. Beliveau and Moore have both signed in blue sharpie beneath their respective handwritten “Friends for Life” notation, which Beliveau has written “Amis pour la Vie” in French. This modern 11” x 14” print offers staggering detail of this photo of the Canadiens’ legendary captain with his arms crossed in front of him to shake hands with the team’s young stars flanking him. Mounted in a classy black matte with white accents, this historic photo is displayed in an 18” x 22” black frame. A wonderful display piece to commemorate the lethal scoring power of hockey’s greatest Stanley Cup dynasty. Will come with a Classic Auctions LOA.
