Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011

The hat on his head in this dressing room shot of Jean Beliveau shows that he arrived in style when he gained admission to the 500-goal club. With a hat trick against Minnesota on February 11, 1971, Big Jean joined Maurice Richard, Gordie Howe and Bobby Hull and became the fourth player in NHL history to score 500 goals. Beliveau added his #4 and the notation “500th Goal, 11/02/1971” to his blue Sharpie signature on this great dressing room scene of him holding a special “500” Canadiens jersey in the wake of his milestone accomplishment. This gorgeous 11” x 14” modern limited edition (79/100) print is elegantly displayed in white and blue double matte with white accents. Tastefully mounted in an 18” x 22” black frame, this wonderful signed photo is an excellent tribute to one of Le Gros Bill’s crowning achievements in a glorious career. Will come with a Classic Auctions LOA.
